Finding a community of red squirrels in woods five minutes from my house has been a dream come true. It’s been wonderful and educational to watch and photograph them every day.

It took four attempts this year, but I finally made it to Lunga for some much needed puffin therapy.
Little did I know when I booked a day at the Nature Nuts wildlife hide that not only would I see a pine marten at lunchtime, but I’d also be the first to see one of this year’s adorable kits.
My first visit to Eskrigg Nature Reserve, near Lockerbie in Dumfries and Galloway – a fantastic location for red squirrels.
