A Week on Mull – It’s Mostly About Puffins!
It was great to be back on Mull for my annual May holiday after a 2 year break. The weather was truly awful but the wildlife was great and I was delighted to manage a day on Lunga with the puffins.

I haven’t travelled far over the summer from my home in the Scottish Highlands, but there’s been no need to! I’ve enjoyed the company of red squirrels, badgers, rabbits, pine martens and mountain hares amongst other amazing experiences.
Being under lockdown during spring has given me the opportunity to observe, enjoy and photograph all the new life emerging – fledglings, badger cubs, red squirrel kittens and pine marten kits.
Nine weeks into lockdown and although craving human company it’s been a joy to spend May watching and photographing the local wildlife.
Little did I know when I popped down to my local Glasgow park to try out my new Tamron 150-600mm lens in late June 2016 that I’d take my most popular photograph – a rabbit with feather in its mouth!
