It’s been a busy, photography-filled few weeks here in the Scottish Highlands where I’ve taken guests to meet my red squirrels, the dolphins, osprey and dragonflies as well as spending many evenings in the company of my garden badgers.

It’s been a windy start to 2022 but I’ve made the most of it and was delighted to find a pair of crested tits to photograph.
It was great to spend a week in Perthshire in July where not only did I conduct a workshop but also visited a wonderful photography hide as well as seeing mountain hares, osprey, marsh harrier and much much more.
Another fantastic week in the Scottish Highlands including magical encounters with elusive pine martens and a wonderful mountain hare.

It was wonderful to make a return visit to see the beavers on the Bamff Ecotourism estate in May 2019.
Little did I know when I booked a day at the Nature Nuts wildlife hide that not only would I see a pine marten at lunchtime, but I’d also be the first to see one of this year’s adorable kits.

It took three years, but finally I enjoyed a wonderful weekend in the company of some of Perthshire’s amazing beavers at Bamff Ecotourism.
