February Under Lockdown in the Scottish Highlands
As lockdown continues in the Scottish Highlands I’ve been sticking to my local patch photographing and filming the amazing wildlife on my doorstep.

Another year, another lockdown and I count myself extremely lucky to have such wonderful wildlife including red squirrels both in my gardens and my local wood.

2020 may have been a pretty terrible year on many levels but I was lucky to have some incredible wildlife encounters and I loved my first year living in the Scottish Highlands.
These last couple of weeks have been a dream come true for me as I’ve welcomed four red squirrels to my garden in the Scottish Highlands.
Being under lockdown during spring has given me the opportunity to observe, enjoy and photograph all the new life emerging – fledglings, badger cubs, red squirrel kittens and pine marten kits.
Before the world shut down March began as a fabulous month in the Scottish Highlands – amazing mountain hare experiences & happy clients, red squirrels and red deer.

I’ve finally moved to the Scottish Highlands, and am loving it!
The gorgeous flowering heather, makes August a beautiful time to visit the Scottish Highlands and it’s a great season to photograph the wonderful little red squirrels.
The weather may have been wet and windy, but it was still a joy to spend a few days in the company of the mountain hares this October.
The final part of my whistle-stop tour of Scotland saw me in Aviemore for a challenging attempt to photograph ospreys in the mist and mountain hares in the rain.
