The gorgeous flowering heather, makes August a beautiful time to visit the Scottish Highlands and it’s a great season to photograph the wonderful little red squirrels.

Great to be back on Mull in late April 2019 for a week of wonderful wildlife encounters including otters, sea eagles and puffins.
It was wonderful to make a return visit to see the beavers on the Bamff Ecotourism estate in May 2019.
A wonderful first visit to RSPB Troup Head to see the gannets and fulmars.
Brown hares, roe deer and curlew in the fields and red squirrels in the garden… my idea of wildlife heaven.
After a few weeks of spring-like weather in the Scottish Highlands, winter made a brief, but dramatic return, and of course, I took advantage of it!
Spending time with the mountain hares in the crazy 2019 windy, mild winter weather.
