Another year, another lockdown and I count myself extremely lucky to have such wonderful wildlife including red squirrels both in my gardens and my local wood.

These last couple of weeks have been a dream come true for me as I’ve welcomed four red squirrels to my garden in the Scottish Highlands.
Now autumn has arrived in the Scottish Highlands I’m enjoying watching my red squirrel family amongst the golds and oranges of the season.

With the lockdown 5 mile travel limit dropped I’ve been able to go further afield spending time with mountain hares, dolphins and much more.
Finding a community of red squirrels in woods five minutes from my house has been a dream come true. It’s been wonderful and educational to watch and photograph them every day.
The weather may have been challenging in the Scottish Highlands in January, but I made the most of it with regular visits to the wonderful mountain hares in snow, rain, wind and sunshine!
