I’ve spent the past few weeks exploring a local wood and have been amazed at the variety of species I’ve found. Not only that, but the red squirrels are on form and Bo, the mountain hare, is wonderful.

Being under lockdown during spring has given me the opportunity to observe, enjoy and photograph all the new life emerging – fledglings, badger cubs, red squirrel kittens and pine marten kits.
Making the most of the lockdown in my Highland home and feeling incredibly lucky to live where I do surrounded by fields and woods full of wildlife.
A weekend of sunshine in the company of my favourite animal, the mountain hare.
